The TOTO MS950CG, released in the fall of 2005, is positioned by TOTO as the little brother to the Neorest 600 MS990CGR. Featuring the same functionality as its larger counterpart, the Neorest 500 can do it all with built-in bidet features, a heated seat, automatic lid and automatic cyclone flush. The only noticeable difference between the two is in the wallet, where the Neorest 500 is listed $2,000 below the Neorest 600. Stylistically designed with a smooth skirted footprint, this toilet is capable of only fitting a standard 12” rough-in. The Neorest 500 includes Sana-Gloss, inhibiting hard water and mineral deposits on the bowl. The Neorest is packaged with its built in washlet seat included and is backed by a 3 year limited warranty.

I'm about to buy another; will pass up the additional $2K for the Neorest 600; there just isn't any point. These things are absolutely wonderful; I actually miss the thing. Even my husband (ordinarily a "no comment" kind of guy) wants a second one in the house. And, since I live with three gas-producing males, the VERY best part about this is that the fan takes care of ALL odors, 100% of the time. Haven't bought any air freshener for over a year! Yahoo!!!! "

When Iwas traveling in Japan, hotel room, restroom in the shopping mall and rest area on toll freeway etc. everywhere I can use the TOTO washlet. That is the reason we very wanted to install TOTO washlet in our house. I recomend all my friends that TOTO washlet is how nice. If you use once, you never forget it and you never live without washlet. It is true.(We have very smart general contractor. So there is no problem to install. Before installation, he started to read the instructions about 2hours and then he went to buy some parts. Our house is 55 years old, bathroom is small. This Neorest 500 completely matches such a small bathroom.) "

I purchased it online through HM Wallace of GA, and got a fair price and prompt delivery. They are an authorized dealer. My single biggest disappointment is with the bidet feature. We have a dedicated, stand-alone bidet in our other home in FL, but we don't have the room for one in our Chicago condo. I can assure anyone who's experienced the hygienic cleansing of a stand-alone bidet that they will be quite disappointed by the anemic cleansing effect of the Neorest spray, even with the adjustable water pressure set on its highest setting. It's quite similar to the single, thin spray that's produced by a Water Pik, so not nearly as efficient as I'd hoped. But don't get me wrong. I really do like the unit overall, it's got all of the bells and whistles you've likely read about, it's just not a great bidet. It is, though, an OK bidet. Lest anyone think it might be a water pressure problem (as the fellow at Toto tech support asked about when I called in this concern of mine), our condo has absolutely outstanding water pressure. I'm not able to rate ease of installation because I paid to have the Neorest professionally installed (this website requires an ease of installation rating before a review can be submitted, so I arbitrarily chose 5, but in my case, it's meaningless). I did watch the fellow installing it, however, and it seemed to me that if your electric outlet is already available (mine wasn't), that someone otherwise capable of installing a regular toilet (I'm not), ought to be able to install the Neorest in an hour or so. "

Put this in our master bath and the Carlyle in one of our other ones. We are now ordering Toto for our other bathrooms.The Neorest is great. My husband had a plumber move a water line but he installed everything else. I have always wanted a bidet but never had room for one. Everything works great. It is a real treat to have a warm seat on a cold day! Love the bidet and it works. Controls are easy to use. Know this toilet is pricey but I'll save money other ways! "
